Q4 2025 product roundup and 2026 outlook
Ed and Howard, Griffin's product leads, reflect on 2025 (10 major features shipped with a smaller team) and share what's coming in 2026

Q4 is done and somehow we're almost at the end of the first month of 2026 already. But, we can’t really get into what we're building this year without talking about the absurd amount of stuff we managed to ship last year!!
2025 was quite the year for Griffin. We scaled to 50+ customers, processed over £3 billion in payments, and welcomed names like Uber, Marqeta, and Sidekick to the platform. But, we also shipped relentlessly. Message signing, embedded bank accounts, confirmation of payee, our MCP server, book transfers, onboarding individuals outside the UK, CHAPS, BACS credits, and honestly so much more that we've probably forgotten half of it. Phew!
Here’s a video with our PMs chatting about what we shipped in 2025 and what's on the horizon in 2026 ⤵️
Let's take a look at two of our major releases in Q4 2025.
You can now recieve CHAPS payments

We’ve added CHAPS payments to the Griffin API and you can now receive CHAPS payments into any Griffin provided bank account.
CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payment System) is the UK's same-day payment system for high-value and time-critical payments. It's typically used for transactions like property purchases, business payments, or other large transfers that need to be settled quickly.
Find out more about this payment rail in our release note here. We’re working on outbound CHAPS now as well and we’ll have an update for you soon.
We've added a new compliance role for view-only access

Don’t want to give everyone on the team the same level of access? We've introduced a second compliance role with view-only access to give your team more flexibility. You can now allocate roles as you deem fit by going to “Settings” in the customer app.
